Are you looking for information about alcohol and what it can do toyour brain and your body? These questions will be answered on this page! This is a great site that has great pictures that show what is happening in your body. This site also has tons of specific information that will help you answer questions that you have. It has graphs that will help you understand the differences between female and male brains and what it does to them. Also you will find information about different things that alcohol can do and what effects it will have on different age people along with what it does to female and males. When scrolling through this site you will not find any advertisements or anything like that. If you are not completely satisfied with this site, it has others for you! We recommend this site for kids ages eight and up! I hope you find lots of information! Did you ever want to find out about brain injuries? http://www.biausa.com is a great site to find out about brain injuries, prevention,and sports injuries.There are tons of different information, links and graphics off this site. We have learned about severe brain injuries and concussions. This is a very easy site to understand and is very organized. It is easy to use and get back home when ever you want. We would reccommend this site to 7 years and older. WARNING: Some of the links off this site try to sell you things.

Have you ever wondered about finding information about dreaming? If you have then this is the perfect site for you! This site is very good because it has lots of information about dreams. For example, did you know that there are different stages of sleep and you will dream only in stage 4? It doesn't have any graphics and there're lots of related links which are easy to get to and back from. It loads up very fast and has a title of what the site is about. The writing is real easy to read and it has correct spelling and grammar. I think that this site should be recommended for kids 7 and up. On a scale from 1-10, I would give this site a 10.

Partnership for a Drug Free America

Have you ever wondered about drugs? This site tells you what they can do to you, what they look like, and all the types and names. The links have awesome pictures and graphics so you know what the drugs look like and you can get from link to link fairly fast and consistently. There is great information on this site if you are doing a report on drugs because it aimed more at kids than adults. The site is organized very well and is easy to read. It is updated every other day to keep you on top of the drug war. The recommended age for this site is 10 and older. It was ranked 5 out of 5. This is an excellent site and I think you should check it out!!!

Have you ever wondered how many chemicals are in an average marijuana plant? Or how long it takes nicotine to reach the brain? You can find out the answer by going to Sara's Quest. The site loads quickly and has a search box. You can contact the webmaster if you have any questions. National Institute On Drug Abuse made this web site on Drug Abuse. It has a lot of information on drugs. It is set up like a magazine. It has articles of different kinds of drugs. There's also a teacher's guide with puzzles and worksheets. When you're finished reading the article, there's a quiz to take testing your knowledge.

Strokes

Did you know that in the brain there is a circle of ateries called thecircle of Willis and if one artery gets clogged up the rest of the brain will still get blood? This and other information such as the symptoms of a stroke are on this site. It has good pictures and graphs, because they help you understand the information, not that you need help to under stand it. The information is well organized with bullets. It does not list its sources or when it was last updated, but on a scale of one to 10 I would give it a nine. I would recommend this site to people 13 and under. Have you ever wondered about autism? Autism Society of AmericaHere's a great site that has lots of well-organized information. Every paragraph has a heading, which normally is a question. It doesn't take very long to load plus everything is very easy to read. The title for this page tells what the whole site is about. It also is fairly colorful and has a few pictures. This site loads very fast and almost always works. If you want to find almost anything about Autism, they have it. This site was made by the Autism Society of America so you can tell it's a good site. Also. it is updated frequently so nothing is out of date. This site does not request fees or user log-in to use this site. I recommend this site for ages 10 and up. This site is very helpful and I think if you are interested in Autism then this is the site for you.

Internet Detectives is a publication produced by Madison Metropolitan
School District (MMSD) middle school students as a resource for other
K-12 students. It is an ongoing, cooperative effort of middle school
Social Studies classrooms. Students find, evaluate and recommend Internet
resources related to the curriculum. This project is supported by MMSD's
Teaching and Learning Department and Library Media Services.
These Internet resources were evaluated on the basis of Site Selection
Guidelines. Questions and comments regarding specific sites can be sent
