American Inventors and Inventions If you need a web site on American inventors and inventions of 1780-1900, then this is a site for you. I think this is a good site for information about inventors and inventions because it has great photos of inventions. If you click on a photo it will tell you about the invention and the inventor. This web site has all the information you would need. I recommend it to students age 10 and above. This site is also very easy to read and contains accurate information.
Colonial Hall: Biographies of America's Founding Fathers Quick site to get the basics! This was a good site to find out basic information about the signers of the constitution. The layout of the page had the signers listed by the states they represented. The summaries are brief and to the point. Some advertising has been added recently, so it can be a bit distracting.

If you would like to know or need information for a project, this is the web site for you. This web site gives you the perfect amount of information and doesn't put you to sleep. It has an easy to use index that links you to information about the signers of the Declaration of Independence, the actual wording of the Declaration, and links to other sites about the Declaration of Independence. So, if you want straight out information, go to this web site.

This is a wonderful site because it has everything you need to know and it is divided into categories, which make it easy to use if you are looking for specific information. There is a chronology of events and information about the drafting of the Declaration that could be useful for your project.
The Internet Public Library: POTUS: Presidents of the United States--Thomas Jefferson This site includes informative information about the 3rd president of the United States and also has links to any one of the presidents. It also includes a list of links to other related sites that give you more information about Thomas Jefferson. There is a list of notable events and other points of interest relating to Jefferson. If you want an easy to use site with a lot of useful links, then this one is for you!
Liberty! The American Revolution If you want to know who signed the Declaration of Independence or anything about the American Revolution, go to Liberty! Based on the PBS series, "Liberty, The American Revolution," it contains all branches of knowledge that you could possibly need! You won't get flooded with information on what you don't need to know, because of the links, which focus on specific topics. Although it is a bit confusing to navigate at times, the good pictures, graphics and information make it a top choice site for this topic!

American Revolution and the New Nation--1763-1815 Internet Detectives is a publication produced by Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) middle school students as a resource for other K-12 students. It is an ongoing, cooperative effort of middle school Social Studies classrooms. Students find, evaluate and recommend Internet resources related to the curriculum. This project is supported by MMSD's Teaching and Learning Department and Library Media Services. These Internet resources were evaluated on the basis of Site Selection Guidelines.
