UltraKey (Mac/Win) has been chosen  to reinforce the AlphaSmart/Paws program as well as serve as the Keyboarding assessment tool in MMSD elementary and middle schools.  MMSD has purchased a district license for this software and all schools may have it loaded on their server.  This software purchase includes two additional features: 

1. A Home Licensing Component, which allows teachers to continue their work at home with UltraKey.  Each school should have an UltraKey CD for checkout to allow staff to load this program on their home computer.
   
   
2. "Take It Home Bonus"  Bytes of Learning offers you home use editions of these titles for sale through your school.  The products are offered at attractive prices, but even better, Bytes of Learning grants a portion of the total sale to your school to help purchase additional technology. TheUltraKey is made available in jewel case editions through this licensing program. The UltraKey 5.0 Home Edition contains all the same content as the School Edition and accommodates up to 8 users.  Each UltraKey 5.0 CD-ROM contains installers for Windows 9x, Windows 2000, Windows ME, Windows XP, Mac Classic, and Mac OS X.

The software can be sold through your school on the following basis: Bytes of Learning provides sales literature with a suggested cover letter to send home.Willing parents order the software by providing a check or money order payable to Bytes of Learning. A summary report and checks are sent to Bytes of Learning. Allowing time for checks to clear, the order is sent to the school in about 3 weeks. A grant check is sent to the school. Schools may offer the software many times. A minimum of 6 units must be ordered each time. Bytes of Learning warrants against any defects in the media at time of delivery.
