Lesson Plan

Purpose:

  • Create a text box in Kid Pix
  • Change fonts, color and size of text
  • Use capital letter letters
  • Use paint tools

Step by Step…

Step 1 Read the book Chrysanthemum, by Kevin Henkes to class.
Step 2 Open blank Kid Pix document.
Step 3 Using typewriter, type name 5 times.
Step 4 Change font and color of each name.

Step 5

Use pencil tool to draw different flowers around each name and color.
Step 6 Have students color in hill below.
Step 7 Have students write on bottom or top: My name has _____ letters.
Step 8 Save and print.
