Purpose:
Step by Step…

Read Corduroy by Don Freeman and
discuss the appearance of Corduroy.

| Step 2 |
Open KidPics. Tape a trasparency of Corduroy to the center of the
screen or create a template.
|
| Step 3 |
Use the pencil tool and second line thickness
to trace Corduroy.
|
| Step 4 |
Use the paint bucket tool to fill in Corduroy with the following
colors:
- color Corduroy light brown
- color his pants green
- color his nose dark brown
- color the button white
- color the small part of his eye black

| Step 5 |
Key in Corduroy's name at the
top of the page and the student's name at the bottom.
|
| Step 4 |
More advanced students may
key in the colors next to the clothes he is wearing, or write a short
paragraph describing Corduroy.
