Lesson Plan

Purpose:

Step by Step…

Step 1 Read Pages and Pockets by American Girl, or My Book About Me by Dr. Seuss.
Step 2

Using Kid Pix, select the rectangle tool, and choose the second shape from the left, which is "outline."

Step 3 Draw 4 boxes, one inside the other, each box getting smaller.
Step 4

Have the student type facts about his/herself:

  • Size, hair, eyes, etc.
  • Favorite foods, books, colors, etc.
  • Your family
  • Share things that you like about school
Step 5   Have the student draw a picture of his/herself in the middle of the center square.
Step 6   Draw pictures or find stamps that fit with their favorite things.
