Technology empowers students to access, manipulate, evaluate, and communicate information effectively. It should be used meaningfully by students to do real work. Technology is helpful in promoting student learning by addressing a variety of learning styles, providing thought provoking challenges, and encouraging higher level thinking. It offers students presentation options which engage the learner as well as the intended audience. The development of the Linking Technology & Literacy lessons is a collaborative effort and the talents of many individuals are evident. The goal is to provide a collection of quality ideas focusing on technology and language arts integration. Connections to language arts and technology standards are a part of each lesson. |
