Content Standard #6: Opportunities
A physically educated student understands that physical activity provides the opportunity for enjoyment, challenge, self-expression, and social interaction.
Primary (K-2) Performance Standards
- Willingly participates in and enjoys a variety of physical activities. (6.A)
- Challenges him/herself through setting appropriate goals for practice. (6.B)
- Participates in new activities. (6.C)
- Communicates feelings through both discussion and movement. (6.D)
- Begins to understand that physical activity can provide an opportunity to enjoy the company of others. (6.E)

Grade Level Performance Standards
Kindergarten:
As a result of participating in a quality physical education program the student will be able to (examples)...
