STANDARD 1: Family Wellness Demonstrates knowledge of personal and family health practices to ensure well-being.
STANDARD 2: Foods & Nutrition Recognizes, understands, and applies the principles of foods and nutrition, and analyzes the physical, psychological and socio-cultural relationships.
STANDARD 3: Textiles & Clothing Demonstrates and applies knowledge of textiles/clothing in relationship to family and society.
STANDARD 4: Living (Housing) Environments Uses concepts of design, safety, and environmental functions in a variety of situations encompassing family, work, and society.
STANDARD 5: Reasoned Action Uses reasoned action to effectively solve problems of family, work, and society.
STANDARD 6: Communication Uses appropriate and effective methods of communication.
STANDARD 7: Resource Management/Consumer Education Demonstrates an ability to use a variety of resources for the benefits of self, family, community and workplace as environments change, and uses this ability to make informed consumer decisions.
STANDARD 8: Relationships Develops necessary skills to promote satisfying relationships.
STANDARD 9: Human Growth & Development Understands the stages of human development and their relationships to a person's emotional, social, physical, and intellectual well-being.
STANDARD 10: Parents & Children Values and implements knowledge and skills necessary for the care of family members.
STANDARD 11: Connections Recognizes, understands and applies the relationships among and between FAmily Consumer Education concepts, daily life and other disciplines.
STANDARD 12: Career Development and Employment Preparation Makes reasoned decisions about occupations and strengthens his/her human relations, employability and career development skills.
