Marketing Education Standards

A student educated in Marketing...

STANDARD 1: Entrepreneurship Assesses the essential role of entrepreneurship ventures within the free enterprise system.
STANDARD 2: Free Enterprise Demonstrates knowledge of the role of marketing within a free enterprise system.
STANDARD 3: Global Marketing Applies marketing concepts and practices in a global economy.
STANDARD 4: Marketing Functions Knows and applies the functions of marketing -- distribution, financing, product/service planning, marketing information, management, pricing, promotion, buying, risk management, and selling.
STANDARD 5: Critical Thinking Develops problem-solving skills that involve critical and creative thinking.
STANDARD 6: Marketing Applications Experiences, knows, and applies marketing activities in specific fields of marketing.
STANDARD 7: Lifework Development Explores, analyzes, and defines where their talents, traits, and abilities can best be applied, given their interests within the broad range of occupational and educational options.
STANDARD 8: Marketing Technology Applies appropriate technology that assists in marketing-related processes.
STANDARD 9: Organizational Leadership Applies the principles of leadership in school, community, and marketing-related settings.
