show the relationships among whole number, decimal, and fractional remainders from division problems;

generate and explain equivalencies and work flexibly among fractions, decimals, and percents, emphasizing benchmarks of halves, thirds, fourths, and tenths;
-
compare and order fractions, decimals, percents, and integers efficiently and find their approximate locations on a number line;
-
use appropriate symbols for comparisons, e.g. =, >, <, ¹, £, ³, »;
-
develop meaning for percents including those greater than 100 and less than 1 (e.g., discounts, rate of increase or decrease, sales tax);
-
represent quantitative relationships with ratios and proportions (e.g., rates, scale drawings, similarity);

read and appropriately use expanded notations, including exponential form;
