SOL Mentoring
|
I believe in YOU! The SOL Mentor Program is a Madison Metropolitan School District and Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring initiative set in place to address the issues of Latino children living in Madison. SOL works in conjunction with Bethel Lutheran Church, Dane County's Joining Forces for Families and other non-profit agencies to seek volunteers who become mentors to children living in our community. We are looking for adults who can provide access to community-wide learning opportunities such as special multicultural events and activities, community service and volunteer opportunities. SOL staff will arrange trainings for mentors and plan regular family/mentor gatherings and outings for all to come together as a group and share experiences.
The difference that just a little of your time can make in the life of a child is extraordinary. While participating in this program you will realize that the rewards gained are immeasurable. You will discover that today is the most important day in the future of children who smile, share, and will forever be grateful for your genuine interest, commitment and dedication to their lives.
