Meet Two New Aristos Scholars

Seven new Scholars were selected to join the Aristos Scholars Academy. All seven were previous Aristos grant recipients who implemented their grants in an exemplary manner. Two of the new scholars are:

Tracy Carolan

Tracy is a member of the math department at LaFollette High School. She assumed the leadership of an Aristos grant targeted at algebra students when a colleague passed away. And, then submitted an exceptional algebra grant targeting special education students and their support staff.

Phonekeo Siharath

Phonekeo is an English teacher at LaFollette High School. He has developed and implemented a dynamic and creative Aristos grant. Phonekeo used technology to support a reading and writing drama course by teaching screen writing, storytelling dramatic performance, media deconstruction, and film construction. Students developed their writing skills, and produced student films for a La Follette film fest, a time slot on the public access channel, and a student entry in the Wisconsin Film Festival.
