Seven new Scholars were selected to join the Aristos Scholars Academy. All seven were previous Aristos grant recipients who implemented their grants in an exemplary manner. Meet Jeff Hattori, one of the new scholars:
Jeff Hattori
Jeff is a technology teacher at Sherman Middle School. Through his Aristos grant students charted their own progress with the creation of electronic portfolios that showcased their work. The project has many student benefits: It encouraged students to reflect on their learning over time, become more self-directed learners, and take greater responsibility for their learning.
