Steve Dyer, Custodian, Lake View Elementary
Quick - efficient - ready to help. Three great ways to describe Steve Dyer, custodian at Lake View Elementary. Steve is quick to take care of needs as they arise. He also thinks through issues and gives good suggestions for problems such as use of the limited space in our school. Staff and students greatly appreciate Steve and the help he provides.
Christine Hager, Science Teacher, West High
Outstanding science teacher and award winning Rocket Club coordinator at West High. She goes above and beyond for her students, and spends incredible amounts of time with them. The students love her.
Lisa Zimmerman, School Secretary, Mendota Elementary
Lisa is always warm and inviting with every person who enters the
Mendota School office, whether it is a late student, a new parent, a
volunteer or the fire inspector! She laughs easily, engages others in
collegial conversations and she truly represents the spirit of
collaboration and optimism that permeates Mendota School. She is highly
talented in all facets of school management and her personality and
skills are admired and appreciated by her Mendota family.
Michele Olsen, Library Media Specialist, Randall Elementary
If anyone in the Randall School community has a reference question,
Michele is the person to go to because she always finds what they need.
She also organizes our Book Bowl and Cultural Arts Committees. Michele
also frequently dresses in disguises and impersonates book characters
to engage students and help literature "come to life."
Barb Bausch, SEA, Black Hawk Middle
Barb is a hard working SEA who takes care of some very difficult
students, in a firm yet very caring manner. She is the first to be at
work and the last to leave. She is very dedicated to our staff,
students and parents at Black Hawk. She always has a smile on her face
and loves to laugh. She is a wonderful asset to our Black Hawk family.
Al Wessel, SEA, Crestwood Elementary
Al is a skilled SEA who provides incredible levels of instructional
support for our special education students. He knows how to address
student behaviors calmly and proactively. In addition to his work as an
SEA, he has also taken a leadership role on the playground. He has made
a number of improvements in terms of procedures and equipment that have
benefitted Crestwood students.
