Vol. I No. 4 - February 17, 2006
Each spring is an exciting time as we start to plan and prepare for the enrollment of our incoming kindergartners.
Dee Nicolai, Franklin's Office Queen, works hard to have all of the paperwork in order for parents to fill out. Our custodians spruce up our hallways.
Our students know that lots and lots of parents to say hello to will be in our office on March 6. Our bilingual resource specialists translate our materials and work directly with parents to help enroll students who speak English as a second language.
In other words, it's an exciting time at school as we anticipate the enrollments for the next school year.
Afterward, it's fun to look through the paperwork to see how many little brothers and sisters have enrolled, how many different languages we will have in kindergarten, how many girls vs. boys, and so forth.
It's also fun to see parents we haven't seen for a while as well as meeting all the first-time parents for whom registration seems even more exciting.
Our goal is to make sure every parent/guardian who walks through our doors feels welcome. I want them to know that while we are not perfect, we are going to do our very, very best for each one of their children.
