Free funding for your school or program? Consider applying for a Mini-Grant

This year's round of district-wide mini-grant competitions is now underway. Information and application materials for each competition are now available for downloading from the Grants and Fund Development Office website at http://www.madison.k12.wi.us/grants/opportunities.htm. This year's application deadlines are:

  • Madison Rotary Foundation (homeless children focus) - November 13, 2006
  • Evjue Foundation - November 13, 2006
  • Foundation for Madison's Public Schools - January 22, 2007
  • Aristos Grant Program - March 1, 2007

These mini-grant competitions require only a short and simple application that can be submitted to multiple funding sources, and the administrative sign off process remains simple too (only your principal or district department head need approve). The rewards can be significant: up to $10,000 for a special program or project that you'd like to offer your students.

If you have any questions or need more information about these and other grant opportunities, contact MMSD Grants Coordinator Howard Landsman (hlandsman@madison.k12.wi.us, 663-4947).
