18 flu shot clinics scheduled for MMSD staff members October 30 - November 14

Freddi Adelson, Student Services

The best way to be protected against influenza is to get a "flu" shot. This flu season, there will be more than 100 million flu vaccine doses available — 17 million more than were available last year.

As in past years, MMSD is offering flu shot clinics for all employees. These clinics are a convenient, easy way to get your shot. No appointments are needed.

If you have MMSD sponsored health insurance, bring your card and sign in. No payment is required by you.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend that the following groups get flu shots annually:

  • children between the ages of six months and five years,
  • pregnant women,
  • parents of infants,
  • people over the age of 50,
  • people with chronic medical conditions, and
  • health care workers.
