The Science Materials Center is pleased to announce the new MyMMSD online
ordering system! The Science Materials Center (SMC) at La Follette High School
stores and delivers hundreds of items that support the district's K-8 Science
Scope & Sequence.
Research has shown that systemic
support for supplying science materials is essential to sustain quality
programs over time. MMSD teachers have
been able to replenish their science materials from our SMC since the Full
Option Science System curriculum (FOSS) was introduced in 2000.
In 2002 our first online
ordering system was introduced. By taking advantage of the new MyMMSD system -
a secure website that you can access from home - the ordering of consumable materials,
plants and animals is even easier!
Although the web locations for the ordering program
are slightly different, the order forms look and work about the same. Most of
the changes are behind the scenes in the software program.
Although the new program is more efficient for inventory
management, the primary advantage to teachers
is the ability to order materials at home. Easy directions and a video clip are
available to help take you step by step through the ordering process.
