Kevin McGuire, security assistant, La Follette HS
Kevin makes it easier for many kids to stay in school because of his friendly attitude that engages young people. He is helpful and always around whenever situations that need "fixing" arise. Kevin has the gift of finding the positive in just about everyone and every situation. He has made folks feel more involved and comfortable at La Follette, and we all value his contributions.

Cindi Cunningham, O'Keeffe Middle school Learning Coordinator
Cindi has been at O'Keeffe staff since 1972 and became a Learning Coordinator in 1976 with the agreement that she would "try" the role for a semester. Obviously, it worked out really well! She loves the variety and working with the students, their families and the teachers. She is a mentor, coach, mediator, organizer, curriculum expert and students know they can count on her to help with all of their concerns. Cindi is deeply committed to the middle school model and to tailoring our teaching to the unique middle school developmental psyche.

Elena Zermeņo, 1st grade teacher, Nuestro Mundo
Elena has been an invaluable member to the Nuestro Mundo staff since its inception. She has taught both kindergarten and 1st grade at Nuestro. Last year, she was a member of the School Improvement Plan team. She gives much of her free time by working with parents and Nuestro Mundo's board members in an effort to make Nuestro the most successful school possible.

George Swamp, social worker, Lincoln ES
From Peaceful Playgrounds, to Bully & Harassment workshops, Student Code of Conduct reviews, facilitating conflict resolutions, gathering resources for families, connecting families to resources, lending a listening ear to students and staff, being an important member of our school Support & Intervention Team, Office Support Team, & Crisis Response Team, George handles all his responsibilities with caring, calmness, kindness, great insights, and ease. He's definitely the 'Go To' person in our building.

Ann Haase, 6th grade teacher, Hamilton MS
Ann is a 6th grade teacher at Hamilton Middle whose two boys also attend our school. Ann is a dynamic teacher and excels at connecting and engaging all students. She accepted the primary role of training our staff on the use of the new Infinite Campus student information system. In her never ending quest to meet the needs of all her "students" adults and child alike, Anne went beyond the call of duty. This has included numerous after school small group tutorials, late night phone calls with staff who encountered problems and going to the homes of staff to train them in the comforts of their own homes. Her many hours are appreciated by all the staff, her demeanor and patience have been an example to us all.

Lyzbett Long, art teacher, Toki MS
With great pride, Lyzbett Long serves as Toki's Art teacher. Student artwork is prominently displayed throughout our school. Lyzbett believes in giving every student the opportunity to be an artist. The Toki art room is a vibrant and active learning center where all students can achieve success!
