The Infinite Campus Implementation Team
|
DSA Award Recipient - TeamInstitutional change is difficult. If you choose to mess with the infrastructure of an organization with 3,000 employees and a nine million dollar budget, you'd better roll up your sleeves. But wait! Look, up the Doyle building, It's a bird, It's a plane, It's Kurt Kiefer and the Infinite Campus Implementation Team. More powerful than a stubborn server, able to conquer the AS400 in a single bound. For years, the District's aged data management software was screaming for replacement. Enter the Research and Evaluation Department, along with xx school representatives, this fearless team embarked on a year-long odyssey to identify and implement new software that would ultimately effect every employee and student in our schools. Few system-wide changes in our history have encompassed the kind of in-depth research, involvement of stakeholders, testing and training that accompanied the selection and initiation of the Infinite Campus software. Needless to say, change is not easy. But this team has put in many a hard day's night to make change happen. Having taken up the challenge, this team has exponentially expanded our ability to access, track and utilize student data. The benefits are enormous for our students, their families and ultimately the Madison community. For your fearless dedication to this project, and to truth, justice and the American Way, thank you.
