DSA Award Recipient — Food Service

Pat Doran is a VIP, a Very Integral Player to the entire JC Wright Middle School community. Her special touch to events like Read Across America, Open House and Graduation are legendary.

Pat's dedication reaches everyone, everywhere at Wright. Her handmade panther cafe banner hangs in the gym. Her after-school cooking club is a favorite with students. Pat cares for students and fellow staff with the same love and affection she gives her own family.

Her cultural awareness is genuine. Her ethnic dinners are thoroughly researched an authentic, Connecting with others part of Pat's nature.

A caring relationship with at least one adult is critical to a child's success. Pat Doran has made it her mission to reach out to, not just a few, but every student at Wright Middle School. In the process, this "lunch lady" has touched her entire community with her generous heart and wise ways.
