Yes, teachers, we have a video library, and there have been many changes in the booking process recently. Read on for the "how to."

This past year, the district upgraded our library automation systems. The change should allow us to better utilize our building-level library materials collections and our district-wide professional libraries.

Madison Metropolitan School District students and staff now have a powerful tool that can help them locate and acquire information in a wide variety of formats. The new Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is available to anyone by going to http://destiny.madison.k12.wi.us/.

One of the most useful features of the new software is the improved ease of booking videos. At the Video Library on Pflaum Rd., we currently have over 6,500 video tapes and DVDs available for staff use.

You can now search, select, and schedule these videos from virtually anywhere on Earth with Internet access.

If you would like to check out or schedule videos from our district video collection, you can use the following instructions to make that happen:

1. Go to http://destiny.madison.k12.wi.us/
2. Click on the link to your school.
3. Click on the login button in the upper right-hand corner of the page. Login using your employee ID (the "B" number without the "B") as your username, and your last name as the password. The password is case sensitive, so make sure you capitalize your last name.
4. Check the box that allows you to search the Video Library collection.

   

5. Perform a search.
6. Click on the Details button for further information.

   

7. If you would like to schedule the delivery of the video, click on the Book It! icon and complete the booking form by clicking on the appropriate calendar dates.

   

You can check your account status at any time by clicking on the My Info tab.
