Principal for a Day scheduled

On Tuesday, October 16th, the Foundation for Madison's Public Schools and the MMSD will host the 4th annual Principal for a Day.

This event provides an opportunity for community and business leaders to spend a morning in one of our schools, experiencing both the joys and challenges that principals and staff face each day. Participants then gather over lunch to share their insights and stories.

Approximately 60 "principals" will participate in this activity which is being held in the fall for the first time, giving organizations a chance to build relationships with the schools over the rest of the year.

The 2007 Johnny Winston, Jr. Streetball and Block Party will be held on Saturday August 11th from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. at Penn Park (South Madison). Activities include an adult men's basketball tournament, youth drill team competition, music, entertainment, free bingo sponsored by Dejope gaming, youth and family activities, information booths, food vendors and more.
