After one year of MMSD staff members getting up to speed on Infinite Campus, middle and high schools are opening their IC Parent Portal last month and this month to parents and guardians.

Middle and high schools have developed their own schedule of parent training sessions and the dates on which the Parent Portal opens. By November 16, all middle and high schools' portals will be open.

Even before parents log in for the first time, they are greeted with this message: Welcome to the MMSD Campus Portal! Here you will find instant access to accurate, current and confidential information about your child(ren)'s school attendance, grades, class assignments and more!

The early reactions from MMSD parents have been positive.

"Parents are very excited about how easy it is to access the information as well as the amount of information available," said Colleen Lodholz, Sennett Principal. "Parents tell us they like that missing assignments stand out and are easy to identify."

"Parents are thrilled being able to access their student's information," said Whitehorse Principal Anne Nolan. "They tell us that there have been no bottlenecks at all when getting into the Infinite Campus system."

Elementary schools will open their parent portals in January and February. Plans for rolling out the opening will be communicated to parents by each school.
