Support Service Learning

On Friday, November 23rd, Barnes & Noble East Towne Mall will be hosting a Bookfair to support a joint East High School and Shabazz High School Service Learning Project.

Approximately 40 Students from East and Shabazz High Schools will be spending their spring break at the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota performing volunteer work while learning about the culture and history of the Lakota (Sioux) people. Pine Ridge Reservation is located in two of the most impoverished counties in the country.

A percent of purchases at Barnes & Noble East Towne on November 23 will go to support this Service Trip. You need only mention the fundraiser when you check out.
