Michele Guyette - American Sign Language Teacher, La Follette

Michele has taught at La Follette since 1994. The ASL program has grown
and now has 3 teachers. La Follette's ASL classes are popular for a wide
variety of students. Michele also coordinates the bi-monthly "Lancer of
the Month" student and staff recognition program.
Deb DiSalvo, SEA, Glendale ES
Deb is one of those people who is effective working in any situation - in
any environment, with any kid, with any staff member. She is someone I
have complete confidence will excel in every assignment - and she has had
many different, varied assignments in her years at Glendale. She works
beautifully with kids with any disability. It has been Glendale's great
joy to have her work with us for 15 years.
Rhonda Rickey, custodian, Chavez ES
Rhonda is an extremely conscientious working custodian who has been at
Chavez since the doors opened in 2001. She always goes above and beyond her
normal responsibilities and we know we can rely upon her. Chavez Staff
truly enjoy working with Rhonda.
Tammy Gue, SEA, Affiliated Alternatives
Affiliated Alternatives SEA staff member Tammy Gue consistently initiates
action, programs and plans that help all students at Affiliated
Alternatives succeed. Her highly energized, positive focus on school
success is contagious. One great strength is her ability to sincerely
connect with students over difficult challenges and turning the challenge
into a meaningful learning experience. No job too small (help with
answering phones, school mailings) nor too great (successfully getting our
MSCR programming off the ground!). We are all grateful for her initiative
and dedication which improve the entire school community.
Bob Arnold, 1st Grade Teacher, Lowell ES
Bob is a Lowell first grade teacher who builds strong relationships with
children and parents. He never misses an opportunity to celebrate the
success of a child - he knows them as individuals and values their talents.
Bob also stays connected with his past students in the building and pays
attention to their learning and growth even beyond first grade. He is a
valued colleague amongst his peers.
Bill Currie, head custodian, Shorewood ES
Bill Currie, Shorewood Hills Elementary School's head custodian, takes
intense pride in having a clean building; his mission is to have the
shiniest floors in MMSD. Bill has clever and inventive ways of solving
complicated problems. He's always on the go but is never without a moment
to share a good story or lend a hand.
