Through the questions she asks and her strong knowledge base, Kathy is able to help groups come to a deeper understanding of the difficult issues to be solved.

Eileen Curtis, special education assistant, Franklin ES
Eileen Curtis is a woman of many talents. For the past nine years Eileen has worked as a special education assistant (SEA) , SEA II , lunch room supervisor and bus attendant. Students look to Eileen for encouragement and praise and Eileen is always ready with a compliment and a smile. Her welcoming smile and friendly attitude draws you in when you first meet this third grade teacher; however, this is just the beginning to what she offers her students and our school community. You'll see her humor and creativity in the classroom plays she writes for her students and observe her genuine passion for teaching as she interacts with her students to move them to their next level of learning. She participates on our leadership team, is active in our drive to improve math instruction and is always willing to volunteer her time outside of the school day. What a great asset to our school!
