Vicky Woider, Technical Services

Vicky Woider, Technical Services
DSA Award Recipient — Clerical/Technical Personnel

She is one of the "Invisibles," those highly skilled, quick-thinking employees whose jobs are seldom acknowledged... until something goes wrong.

Cue the whining! Vicky Woider is here to stop whining before it starts. In her role as Technology and Library Support Technician, Vicky is a kind of superhero dedicated to smooth-running operations.

Arriving early from Deerfield to the Doyle Administration building, Vicky starts her day by scanning the network monitoring system, rooting out and resolving potential problems before most employees boot up their computers.

Her work in the MMSD began in the Library Media Services Department. In a district survey, Vicky was named THE most important person to the success of the library program. During difficult transition periods in the department she played an important role as an advocate, communicator and problem-solver.

In her 27 years with the District her responsibilities have evolved, requiring continuous professional development - a challenge she has embraced. She was a member of the Infinite Campus implementation team.

In her newest incarnation Vicky serves on a team charged with revamping the District website. Her incredible competence is accompanied by a cheerful, welcoming manner.

Let's make it perfectly clear, this "invisible" deserves our recognition.
