How To Donate Computer Equipment To MMSD
What We Can Use
As of January 17, 2008, MMSD will accept donated equipment with the following minimum configuration:
PCs
- 1 GHz Pentium/Celeron processor
- 512 MB RAM
- 10 GB hard drive (20 GB preferred)
- Windows XP or greater operating system pre-installed
- Internal IDE CD-ROM and 3.5" floppy disk drive
- 10/100 NIC installed
- Preferred options, but not required:
- Preferred Brand: Dell
Other
- Laser printers (networked preferred)
Process To Donate
- Anyone wishing to donate equipment and District staff receiving donations should call the Technical Services HelpLine at 663-5853. Your call will be redirected to a HelpLine supervisor.
- Donated equipment should be handled per the supervisor's instructions and shipped to:

- If you have any questions or concerns, please contact a HelpLine supervisor at 663-5853.
If accepted, donated equipment will be given a District property asset tag, entered into the District's electronic asset inventory, delivered to the destination site and placed into service. The donor will be sent a letter of appreciation.
