 Battle of the Books

The Battle of the Books is offered to 4th and 5th grade students beginnning in mid-November. This is a voluntary program designed to encourage reading and to challenge children as readers. Students form groups of 3-4 and then read and discuss books from a common book list.  The competition involves answering questions correctly about the books.

2008 CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

The Eastside Schools' Battle of the Books was held at the Lakeview Branch of the Madison Public Library on Thursday, February 21st, 2008. 

The 4th grade team came in second place; the 5th grade team came in 1st place!!
