Resizing Images

  1. Open LView Pro
  2. Click File on the menu bar. Click OPEN.
  3. Click in the LIST FILES OF TYPE BOX, and choose the image file type.
  4. Click in the DRIVES box and click on the correct drive.
  5. Click in the directories box and click on the path to the image.
  6. Click on the image name in the FILE NAME box. Click OK. The file will load.
  7. Click EDIT on the menu bar.
  8. Click RESIZE. The following window opens:

  9. Enter a size in one of the two boxes in the New Size box. Width is the first box, height is the second. The numbers represent pixels. Only enter a number in one box.
    You will not see a difference in the remaining box, but the dimension will change when the file is saved.
  10. If the Preserve aspect ratio box is not checked, click on it to select the option. This keeps the ratio of width to height in your graphic the same.
  11. Click OK. The program will reload the graphic with the new dimensions.
  12. Click FILE on the menu bar.
  13. Click SAVE AS.
  14. In the FILES OF TYPE box, choose GIF89a
  15. Type a name in the FILE NAME box. Choose a different name if you wish to preserve the original graphic. Do not add an extension, LView will add the appropriate extension (GIF) to the file name.
  16. Click OK.

The image will be resized. To test it, load the image in your web browser.
