Most 6th graders have had basic keyboarding instruction in 4th and/or 5th grade. In 6th grade, we'll spend 10-15 minutes each day practicing keyboarding skills. Students will be graded on their posture, finger position and general effort.

Students will be assessed weekly to make sure students are increasing speed and accuracy.

By the end of 8th grade, students should be able to type at least 25 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
