Everyone should have a basic understanding of computer terminology. In 7th grade, you'll set up a vocabulary database using XP Access. Each day you'll enter 2 words and definitions. I'll ask you to write a sentence using each word. When you're finished entering all of the words, you'll print a study guide. We'll play Bingo and a memory game in class to help you learn the words, and then you'll have a vocabulary test to see how many of the words you've learned. |
"Here's Lookin' at you, kid." |

Okay, that's a line from a famous old movie. Can anyone name the movie? You'll make another Access database using the Blockbuster site. Use this to learn how to use the Blockbuster site. If you're going to rent a movie, what kind of information is important for you to learn? Gather information about 8 movies you like, and enter the information on this entry sheet. When you're finished with your database, I'll put them all together and we'll get a better idea of what kind of movies your class enjoys. Use this |
