Library bookshelf at wrightImproving student reading scores continues to be a high priority at Wright. Strategies used with students are based on P. David Pearson's work regagrding the Traits of a Reader, and Oliver Keene and Susan Zimmermann's book, Mosaic of Thought. Students have diverse and frequent opportunties to read, with plenty of staff helping them along the way. New in the 2001-02 school year is Scholastic Inc.'s reading program called Read 180 geared towards struggling readers.
