Curriculum: Content Areas: Talented and Gifted Programming (TAG)

TAG opportunities abound at Wright. Monthly themes related to school curriculum and the local community and culture guide classroom extension activities and help students work towards their Next Level of Challenge (NLC).

Wright is committed to improving students’ academic performance at their NLC. Teachers’ abilities and opportunities to differentiate within the classroom are a primary concern. Offering NLC in the math and reading classrooms are contained within Wright’s SIP goals. NLC takes place in math, music, art, reading, Spanish, language arts, science, and technology. Check out past student opportunities here.

Activities for the year are uniquely designed to meet student interests and needs, based in part on parent and teacher surveys conducted throughout each school year.

In the spring of 2000, students launched To the Top in 2000, signing pledges saying they would participate in TAG programming that would help them reach their NLC.
